• What are our opening times?

  For all booking enquiries our main office hours throughout the year are:

  Monday to Friday – 09.00 – 18.00

  Activities can be booked to take place Monday to Saturday. During the main season May to September activities finish at the latest 8.30pm. We will accept only large bookings for activities on a Sunday or a Bank Holiday. Please call the office to discuss your booking.

• How can I make payments?

  We accept payments by Credit/Debit Card.

  Unfortunately we no longer accept personal cheques but business or charity cheques can still be made out to Leicester OPC and posted to:-

  You can pay by cash in person at the LOPC.

• Can we bring our own equipment to use on sessions?

  Unfortunately, we can not allow members of the public to use their own equipment on LOPC activities unless there is prior agreement with LOPC. Personal equipment such as buoyancy aids, wetsuits, paddles can be used, but items of equipment such as archery bows, will not be allowed. For more information please contact the main office.

• Can we book out the bike track for personal use?

  We do not allow any motorised vehicles on the grounds of the LOPC other than transport To/From the Centre and for ground’s maintaince. Additionally, the centre facilities are only used when under trained supervision. For further information on where to use your bike then please contact your local authority.

• Do you sell equipment?

  LOPC will sell equipment that has been used for activity sessions. We will advertise items for sale on the website, on LOPC noticeboards or through the press. We are going to sell LOPC souvenirs in 2006 which we will again advertise on the website and noticeboards. The clubs who are attached to the centre also advertise equipment to purchase either on their website or noticeboards at the centre.

• Can we launch and change?

  In the interests to our centre users and for child protection reasons we no longer allow people to launch their own boats at the centre and use our showers. Group leaders wishing to bring a group to the centre with your own boats and instructors should contact the centre for special arrangements to be made.

• Can we exercise walk our dog on your land?

  No dogs are allowed on site unless prior arrangements have been made with LOPC centre management. As with normal practice, dog owners are required to clean up after their dogs.

• Do we have a ski slope?

  We receive regular enquiries about a ski slope. Unfortunately, we no longer have this facility as it was dismantled in the early 1990s when Leicester City Council closed the centre down. Obviously in the future if there is a continued and sufficient demand then we could consider a funding application to the Big Lottery for a new slope.
