Bellboating
Minimum age: 5 years
Instructor ratio: 1:10*
A Bellboat is a twin-hulled boat with a deck in between. The boat holds 10 people and one instructor. This is a great way of journeying along the River Soar, and enjoying the company of your family, friends or work colleagues. You can try steering the boat while the others paddle or simply all of you try paddling in time. Not as easy as you may think!
We have 2 boats available and these are ideal for people of all abilities. A hoist is available on request for less mobile people.
What to wear:
Good weather – light weight clothing and shoes (trainers or wet suit shoes – not wellies or hiking boots). Remember sun cream and a hat when it’s sunny.
Poor weather – a number of layers of clothing with, if possible, a windproof jacket and fleece.
In case that you get wet bring a change of footwear, spare clothes and shower kit including towel.
