Aquatic First Aid Level 1
Cost: £60
This is an 8 hour course aimed to provide those involved with water borne activities with the basic knowledge and skills required to render first aid should the need arise.
The award meets the requirements for all BCU Coaches. We will be delivering the course either as two evenings or as a 1 full day.
The course will include:
- The role of a first aider
- Taking action in an emergency
- Dealing with respiratory problems
- Dealing with circulation problems
- Environmental related injuries
- Head, bone, joint and muscle injuries
- Dealing with an unconscious adult
The qualification will be valid for three years.
Participants must be aged 14 or over to be on the course.
BCU members have a £3 discount to account for their cheaper reg fees.
