White Water Improvers Course (Kayak 1 day)

What is it?
This is a 1 day course aiming to improve on your white water skills. The aim being to get you more confident at handling yourself and improve your white water skills. We will be looking at the following:
- technique
- strategy
- choice of paddle stokes
- timing
- reading white water
- using the power of the water
- playing on features
Additional to this we will be happy to try and tailor the course to your needs. So if there is a particular area you would like to work on we will do our best to fill those needs. This is ran on a ratio of 1:4 giving you plenty of personal tuition throughout the day.
The course will be based at Holme Pierpoint in Nottingham. Here we have a virtually guarranteed flow of grade 2 rapids with a variety of features and sections each with it’s own opportunities to learn and improve. Price include your access ticket to get on to the course.
LOPC can supply a kayak, paddle, pfd, spraydeck or helmet. However notice must be given so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Who is it for?
This is an ideal course for someone who has just learned the basics of how to paddle on white water and wants further coaching to take those skills further. However it can also be useful for anyone who just wants coaching white water and may want to look at paddling more challenging rivers.
