River Soar Litter Pick
Lets get our river back to beautiful!
Unfortunately our River Soar doesn’t always look like this, it is constantly cluttered with litter. As well as looking unpleasant this is damaging to the envrionment and dangerous to animals.
This is why we are putting on a sponsored litter pick to clean up the River Soar. Our objective is simple, we want to clear as much rubbish out of the river as we can and raise money to purchase new water sports equipment for the community.
It is a great chance for us to give something back to the community as well as a fun trip out paddling on the river. We are also expecting support from the Riverside Rangers who’s team of volunteers frequently work to clean up our river.
If you are interested you can ring us up and sign yourself up. It is £3 for half a day or £6 for the whole day. Drinks and buiscuits will be provided along with a celebratory bbq to finish the day. Also for people wishing to stay a bit longer we will put on a land activity suited to what people want as a thank you to all who participate.

Afternoon – 1:30 to 4:30
