A longer trip for more experienced paddlers. We like to go out and do a longer paddle - usually 2.5 hours (meeting at 9.15am for a 9.30am start, getting off the water by 12 noon) but sometimes longer if we are having too much fun! We paddle North towards Birstall and Cossington, or South to Abbey Park and through Leicester.

This is not an trip for absolute beginners, the trip is more suitable for people who've paddled a handful of times and can paddle in a straight line with relative ease. You don't need to be an expert, but if you're still at the going round in circles stage you will be very tired before the end!

Maximum group size
Must have attended Adventure Club before or must be a competent paddler - capable of going in a straight line in order to paddle as part of a group.

For experienced regular paddlers to go out for a longer trip.
If you are a beginner we recommend coming to one of our paddlesports session before attending this trip.
Please be aware that the trip may run past the scheduled finish time as it sometimes involves transporting boats, and so we recommend that you plan to be with us a little longer just in case. Bring a snack!
What to wear
Good weather - light weight clothing and shoes (trainers or wet suit shoes – not wellies or hiking boots). Remember sun cream and a hat when it’s sunny.
Poor weather – a number of layers of clothing with, if possible, a windproof jacket and fleece.
In case you get wet - bring a change of footwear, spare clothes and shower kit including a towel.
