Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre are the British Canoeing 'Centre of the Year' 2015

The Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre is located on the River Soar in Leicestershire. We run Go Canoeing starter sessions here in the East Midlands, as well as a variety of British Canoeing courses.

A Paddlesport session is an open session, where you have a choice of the kind of water craft you wish to go onto the river. You can choose from an open canoe, a closed cockpit kayak or Sit on top kayak.  There is also an option to paddle a kata kanu but please check with us in advance if you want to do this. You also have the choice to paddle the boat solo by yourself or tandem with a partner.  Some boats can accommodate up to 6 participants if you wish to paddle as a family or a team.  These session are ideal for beginners as well as those wishing to develop their paddling skills within a particular discipline.

Book onto an Adventure club session. These happen on a regular basis all year round on a Saturday morning from 9:30 am to 11 am. You can come as individuals or bring a group of friends or colleagues. Check out our courses as well to learn more about paddling!
