Every child loves building dens, playing with sticks and getting creative in the woods.
Age 5+ to Adult
We recognise this and love to get out in to the woods ourselves. In this stimulating environment everyone can learn about building a shelter out of natural resources, making fire without matches and everything else you to survive in the wild.
Bushcraft is part of our Key Stage 2 Stone Age Day, as well as our Science and English packages.
It is also part of one our Corporate Packages.
A typical introduction to Bushcraft session will include shelter building and fire lighting. If you have any specific requests we can tailor the activity to your needs. Typical things we can bring in include:
Making nettle tea (seasonal but most of the year)
Cooking Lunch
Foraging for wild food. (Spring/Summer only)
String making, out of natural resources
Camping under a tarp
Wood carving (12 minimum age)
Pitching a tent
Cooking with camping stoves
Tree and Plant identification
If you wish to do any of these please request when making your booking.
