We run three separately themed 90 sessions on this subject.
Teachers can either book: a single day at the centre - covering all three sessions, to come on separate occasions and work through each session, or just a specific session.
All activities are largely based around our 15 acre site, using our range of flora and fauna, combining classroom and the outdoors. They include:
Tracking animals and looking at what they eat
Identifying Insect
Evolution and Inheritance
These sessions involved moving around the site, and comparing different animals / wild life and how it fits the world we live in.
Curriculum links include:
Identify that animals, including humans, need the right types and amount of nutrition, they get nutrition from what they eat
Identify that humans and some other animals have skeletons and muscles for support, protection and movement.
