Everest Climb Update Saturday 16th March

The Everest challenge has begun and in 3 1/2 hours we have already completed 300 climbs which is twice the height of Ben Nevis. Thank you too all that came down to help!

There is still an opportunity to come down tomorrow Sunday 17th March between 12-4 to contribute towards the climbs at £6 entry!

On Saturday 16th March, there will be a team effort to climb the height of Everest, 8848 metres/29029 feet.  That is 931 times the height of our climbing tower!

The aim is to raise enough funds to build a "bouldering cave" under one of the current structures in the climbing area.

If you are a current member of the climbing club, you can come along and climb at any time from 9am on Saturday 16th through to Sunday 17th.

If you are not a current member but want to come along, the public session is from 12pm til 4pm on Sunday 17th.  This is to ensure we have adequate safety cover for novice climbers.

The price is the same for everyone - £6 per person.  For this £6 you can climb as many times as you want!

We also really hope that some of you will be able to raise some sponsorship money as well so that we can achieve our goal.  There is a sponsor form available to download.
