Go Canoeing Official Provider

What are they?

These are sessions ideal for people who have never been canoeing or kayaking before and want to try it. 

We run them every Saturday morning - 9:30am to 11:00am.

Following from Canoe Starter Sessions participants can also participate in Go Canoeing Tours, which are longer trips they can do in either canoe or kayak.

To book online click here, select "Activity" then select one of the Saturday morning Canoeing activities. You'll be able to go kayaking also if you prefer.

Prices are standard Adventure Club rates, £10.00 for non members (£9 off peak) and £7.00 for members. Membership is £4 and lasts the whole calendar year. Membership has to be paid for on the phone. Non members can get a 5% discount if booking online using a discount code ‘online’.

Extra Information

Canoes, paddles, buoyancy aids and waterproofs are available without cost if required. You are more than welcome to use any of your own kit as you wish if the Tour Leader deems it suitable and safe to do so.

Free car parking is available on site and is without height restriction

Changing, shower and toilet facilities are available on site.

Terms & Conditions

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Bookings are non-refundable and are transferable only at the discretion of LOPC management, with at least 48 hours’ notice. All participants must fill in a consent form, for children this must be signed by their legal parent or guardian.

If rain levels have cause the River Soar to be unsafe to paddle we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and will either rearrange your booking on to another Tour or issue a refund in full.

Data Protection: By accepting the Terms and Conditions of Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre you are consenting to your name, date of birth, postcode, gender and email address being passed on to Canoe England, a division of the British Canoe Union, the governing body for canoeing in the UK.

This will be used for statistical reporting on Go Canoeing to support with monitoring participation. Personal data will be used only in accordance with the BCU’s notification under the Data Protection Act 1998 and in compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Your contact details will not be passed to third parties without your consent.
