What can be covered at LOPC?
Pupils should develop fundamental movement skills, become increasingly competent and confident and access a broad range of opportunities to extend their agility, balance and coordination, individually and with others. They should be able to engage in competitive (both against self and against others) and co-operative physical activities, in a range of increasingly challenging situations.
How can we achieve this?
From age 5 upward, pupils can engage in a wide variety of activities with us. Climbing, Fencing and Bell Boating in particular develop and challenge agility, balance and co-ordination, and our sessions can be tailored to put more focus on one specific skill. The link to the Physical Education curriculum is innate due to the nature of our activities; if you’d like your class to get more out of the visit, please consider choosing to link your activity with another subject. What ever activity you choose, you’ll still cover some of the PE curriculum.
