The Canoe Award replaces the British Canoeing 3 star Canoe Award.

This Canoe Award endorses and improves your skill, judgment and decision making when journeying. You will be confident in planning and undertaking canoe journeys on the water in winds up to and including force 3 taking place on grade 1-2 rivers with simple eddy lines. This Award is a sound basis for building your experience and knowledge associated with the Progressive Canoe Award.

Course Cost £150

There is a further certification fee required upon completing the course, this is £10 for British Canoeing members, £20 for non members.

The first day will take place at LOPC, however day 2 is usually at Matlock.  You will need to be able to get your canoe to Matlock, as LOPC does not provide transport, but may have some space
