Previous experience

Competent Paddler, Basic Boat Handling Skills.

For the training alone participants must either hold the 2 Star award or be at that level and be a minimum age of 14.
If you wish to pass the course over the weekend you will need to have evidence of at least 3 different flat-water journeys of about 3 hours duration each (10km) and at least one of these in an open water environment. And also provide evidence of at least one session of about 3 hours duration in an alternative discipline.

Payment required to secure a place, together with completed registration form. On successful completion a £12 registration fee for British Canoeing members (£25 for non members), is required to obtain your certificate.
